As a regular attendee or paid subscriber, you are invited to join the Virtual Sewing Room monthly drop-in hostless sessions.
Having tried out hostless drop-in sessions in Spring 2026, I wanted to make them a regular occurrence and part of a bonus Subscription to YOU. These are exclusive, invite-only and not available to the public.
What are the extras I am invited to?
There will be two drop-in sessions each month.
One weekend session each month (approx 48hours or longer)
One 4hr evening session a month (6-10pm UK time zone)
These exclusive session will be scheduled and available to book through a private link.
Links for this webpage, drop-in bookings or the Zoom must not be shared between people.
The Zoom link will be in your confirmation email. Please keep this safe as this link will not be resent.
What is a drop-in or “hostless” session?
These sessions provides a safe space with familiar faces when a host cannot be present. Whilst the sessions run without an official host, attendees are expected to continue to follow the core values of VSR sessions; Respect, Connection, Inclusive and Supportive.
Sessions are a casual space allowing for extra social time when sewing, in a casual space you can drop in/out of.
Hostless sessions do run slightly differently to a regular session which has a host;
No spotlighting of others fabrics, garments or pets
No host finger-wagging to tell people off, or sense check conversations.
No one checking the chat function
No one to mute others
And despite the “hostless” nature, you may find yourself in the company of Jenny or other co-hosts. But they’re just casually hanging out too.
This invite and booking link must not be shared with anyone else. It is invite only by Jenny. Sharing this webpage with others may result in termination of your subscription and cancellation of drop-in sessions.
Other important things of note about the sessions.
Drop in as much or for as long as you want. Sit quietly or chat away.
Time zones: Athens, Greece EEST+ 3hours. New York, EDT -5hours. San Fransisco PDT -8hours.There is not guaranteed to be anyone in the Zoom when you join.
No one will have the host ability to mute or spotlight other attendees. If anyone is making noise, please ask them politely to mute.
Please mute yourself if you walk away from your device - no body can mute you if there is any background noise.
Any problems without Jenny present (eg someone needs muting), you can drop me a email or direct message. I will try my best to support, but I may be away from my laptop during the sessions.
If I get reports of any misbehaviours or abuse of the Zoom link, the link will be closed early and your subscription may be terminated.
How it works
There are different options to work for you.
If you aren’t sure you will be available month-to-month for sessions, you can pay-per-session.
Alternatively, you can upgrade your subscription. This will include the usual regular sessions, WIP Clinic and all Drop-in sessions.
These are called “"VSR Monthly PLUS” or “VSR Annual PLUS.“
Please note: Annual subscriptions do not get a refund if you are part-way through your year. There is a solution, but faffy. Jenny will contact you directly to talk through the solution until your subscription renews.

Upgrading
Things to note before you change your subscription:
the system does not refund any previous subscription payment.
if you are part-way through your annual subscription, you will be contacted directly about an option to upgrading your subscription until your renewal date. If you missed this email - please contact Jenny.
Monthly subscribers shouldn’t have any issues changing from Regular to PLUS subscription. Go ahead on the link below!
The system will not detect you are upgrading. You will need to sign up to the “VSR Monthly Plus”, then immediately cancel your “VSR Monthly” subscription. This is ensure you don’t loose any bookings you have made on your account.
Regular Annual Subscribers looking to upgrade to PLUS.
The system will not refund/part-refund your pre-paid Annual subscription. There is not a smooth way to upgrade to a Annual PLUS subscription until your subscription renews.
I have emailed the existing annual subscribers on 30th June 2026 about how you can pay the difference to upgrade ASAP.

FAQs
Why do I need to pay for a session not being hosted?
There may not be a host present, but there is admin time to scheduling sessions and setting up links.
How do I sign up for a session?
Click this private link. If you choose not to upgrade your subscription to include drop-in sessions, you can pay-per-session instead. You can change your subscription at any time.
How do I get my Zoom link?
Unlike regular sessions, your Zoom link will be on your booking confirmation email. Keep this safe as the link will not be resent.
It is set up this way to allow for late bookings during the longer sessions.
Regular sessions will continue to have links sent just before the start time.
Are these drop-in session available to the public?
No. This is an exclusive invite for you and familiar faces on VSR sessions.
Can I invite a sewing friend to the drop-in session?
No. These sessions are exclusive invite-only to regular faces in the Virtual Sewing Room community. This means you will likely know the other attendees and everyone knows the housekeeping rules. This reassures attendees for a safe and friendly space when there is no host present.
There are 10 regular sessions a month friends can enjoy, even a free session using code NEWBIE.
Can I share a Zoom link with someone?
No. Everyone must sign up to the session to receive a link.
The sessions are set up on the booking system at a late time to allow people to sign up late and recieve the booking link immediately.
How can I sign up for lots of dates?
Currently the sessions will be available month-to-month. This is due to the Zoom link being on the confirmation email.
The dates for Drop-in sessions may be available on this page in advance so you can pencil them in. The weekend sessions will not fall when regular weekend sessions are planned.
